Everyone is welcome!
This month, we have had a few new faces in the kitchen. Firstly, three wonderful high school students from St. James College have joined the volunteer team. We couldn’t be happier to help them out as this work experience lends itself towards them completing aspects of their hospitality training. Already, they have been a tremendous help in the kitchen and it has been fantastic to see their smiles and enthusiasm. As always, with all our incredible younger volunteers, it is a true inspiration to witness them all so willing to help the broader community in their spare time.
Our second new buddies in the kitchen are Ausenco, a global mining company. Ausenco has booked out select Saturdays for their employees to volunteer at Dig In as part of a company initiative for community service. We have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Ausenco and greatly appreciate all the staffs’ efforts in the kitchen. We are very grateful to be able to share our passion with others and show them the ins and outs of how Dig In runs. In return, we have gained a number of fabulous volunteers who have put their hands up to come back and help in their own time.
